Happy Friday!
We’ve had a wonderful week filled with sunshine and smiles! The children have absolutely loved making the most of the sunny days. As we head into the weekend, here’s a little look at what we’ve been up to and what’s coming next…
🧥 Belongings
As the weather warms up and the children enjoy more time outdoors, jackets and sweatshirts often get left behind during play. Please ensure all belongings are clearly named—this makes it much easier for us to return them to the right owner. Thank you for your help!
🐝 Beekeeper Visit
We are excited to welcome a special visitor to the nursery on 27th May—a local beekeeper! The children will have an opportunity to learn all about bees, how honey is made, and why these tiny creatures are so important to our environment. This hands-on experience will include a look at beekeeping equipment, honey tasting, and maybe even trying on a beekeeper suit!
🚆 P7 Trips
P7 had a fantastic time on their trip to Hollywood Bowl! Everyone enjoyed friendly competition, cheering each other on and showing off their bowling skills.
P7 is heading to Edinburgh on Thursday for an exciting day out! All the important details, including times, what to bring, and the itinerary, have been posted on Google Classroom.

🏠 Home School Partnership Learning
We focus on kindness—helping children recognise when someone is being kind, and encouraging them to show kindness to others. Learning to be kind builds empathy, strengthens friendships, and creates a positive school environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
Here are a few simple ways you can explore kindness at home together:
💬 Talk about a time when someone was kind to you—how did it make you feel?
📚 Read a story together and chat about which characters showed kindness.
💌 Make a kind note or picture for a friend, neighbour, or family member.
🛡️ Keeping all Children Safe
All parents/carers are invited to take part in a dynamic event celebrating new initiatives and community-led action to support children, promote inclusion, and prevent harm.
Enjoy networking opportunities, insightful presentations, and a chance to reflect and connect.
