We have had a busy week at school.
Kirking of the Council
We are looking forward to this Sunday’s Kirking of The Council, with school representation from P7, along with Mrs Fraser and Mr McRoberts.
Whole School Walk
We have our rescheduled whole school walk on Wednesday 11th. We plan to leave school shortly after 1pm returning in time for 2.30 pm. It would be lovely if as many families as possible could join us.
Smoking
In line with Highland Council policy, smoking/vaping is not permitted anywhere on the premises.
Disc Golf
P4/5 enjoyed taking part in a disc golf taster session during Thursday lunch time this week. P6/7 will have the opportunity next week.
Community Engagement Programme
We welcomed two students from Inverness High School who will be undertaking classroom experience as part of the Community Engagement Programme.
P1 Homework Bag Presentation
P1 children received their homework bags on Friday afternoon. Thanks to all parents who were able to attend.
RAF Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Visit
On Monday we have an exciting visit from the RAF where P4–7 children will get the opportunity to build and operate drones.
In-service Days
Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th September are in-service days. School will be closed to all pupils. Staff will continue to work on the school improvement priorities.
Parents Evenings
Parents Evenings will be held between 15:30 –18:00 on 24th September and 17:30 and 20:00 on 26th September. Forms for preferences will be sent home soon.
Weekly After School Basketball Sessions
Craig Carswell has taken on the role of Active Schools Coordinator for the Inverness High School cluster. Craig will be starting a new basketball session at Central School for P4-7’s beginning next week.
