Happy Friday everyone.
We have enjoyed another busy week at Central.
🏅 House Captains and Vice Captains 🏅
The children took part in a very exciting vote to choose the Captains and Vice Captains for each house. It was a close contest, and we are delighted to announce that the roles have now been filled:
Cawdor – Captain: Chloe | Vice Captain: Mason
Ness – Captain: Eden | Vice Captain: William
Urquhart – Captain: Connie | Vice Captain: Logan
Well done to all our new leaders! We know you will make your houses proud. 🌟
📢 Communication
Thank you for your patience with reception not being manned at all times throughout the day. We hope to have a new clerical assistant appointed in the near future.
Please remember to check google classroom regularly. Please speak to your child’s teacher if you need access.
📘 School Improvement Plan
We are in the process of finalising our school improvement plan which will be posted on our blog in the next couple of weeks.
The team are excited to take forward our key priorities this year:
Learning, teaching and assessment and working with other schools in the Inverness High School group on moderation of reading and profiling.
Curriculum focus on STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Digital literacy.
Health and Well Being – we begin to work towards our Gold Rights Respecting Award.
🚲 Bikes and scooters
As you are aware we are passionate about promoting active travel to school. However we are aware that there are ongoing safety concerns regarding children riding their bikes and scooters within the school playground.
All children know for numerous safety reasons they should not be on their bikes or scooters in the playground either before school or at 2.30 when families may be waiting for older siblings.
We ask that all parents respect this rule and ensure their child/ren are off their bikes and scooters. If this rule is not respected then we might need to ask individuals to refrain from bringing bikes or scooters to school. Thank you.
📖 Bookbug Invitation
We’d love to invite our school community to join us for a Bookbug session on Friday 19th September at 9:00am in the Community Room.
Please bring along your babies and toddlers for a fun, friendly time of stories, songs, and rhymes. We look forward to seeing you there!
