Happy Friday everyone,
We have had a positive week with new class routines and expectations beginning to embed.
Our team are working hard to establish positive relationships across the classes and ensure we continue to have high standards of conduct.
Assembly
We welcomed Mrs Walker who is working on the Northern Meeting park Project for assembly this afternoon.
She explained what the project was about and how children and their families can become involved.
As a school we will take every opportunity to participate in this exciting project.
It was lovely that Bishop Eden’s school were able to join us for the assembly.
Whole School Walk
We have rescheduled our whole school walk, which was postponed in June, to Wednesday 11th September in the afternoon. We hope as many relatives as possible can join us. It’s a number of years since we have managed our walk so we are all looking forward to it.
Kirking of The Council
Some P7 children will join Mrs Fraser and Mr McRoberts to represent the school as part of this historic annual event on Sunday 8th September. The children taking part volunteered.
In-service days
Our next in-service days are Monday 16th September and Tuesday 17th September. School is closed to all pupils.
Google Classroom
Google classroom is now up and running. Please make sure you are accessing this regularly.
Parent’s Evenings
We will host our autumn parent’s evenings on Tuesday 24th September from 3.30 p.m to 6 p.m. and Thursday 26th September from 5.30 p.m to 8 p.m.
Free School Meals
All P 1-5 children are provided with a school meal.
This is universal provision and not free school meals. If you are eligible you can apply for free school meals on an annual basis which can also lead to a clothing grant. Please click the link for more details or to apply. If you are not sure if your child is in receipt of free school meals please let us know and we can confirm.
Hoping your weekend was lovely and restful.
