Baxters 5k
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Baxter's 5k on Sunday. What an amazing achievement. Thank you to all staff who helped organise it and families who supported and/or took part on the day.
Assembly
The assembly this week was based around caring for others. We shared stories and discussed what caring for others looks like.
Friday Groups
As a school we are working towards our Silver Rights Respecting Award. We are establishing a variety of pupil groups, such as Eco/Farm, Pupil Voice, Health and Well-being, Digital learning. Pupils will have an opportunity this week to choose which group they would like to participate in.
Football Leadership
Inverness Caledonian Thistle Community Development and IHS Active Schools this week started to deliver a joint programme focusing on health, well-being and leadership with P7. This is a 12 week programme, with each week having a different theme.
High Quality Assessments
All classes have been working on their High Quality Assessments this week. These will be coming home at the beginning of the week for families to enjoy. Please discuss with your child/ren and make a comment in the family voice box. These should be returned to school before the end of term.
October Holidays
School finishes at the usual time on 11th October and re-opens at 9am on 28th October 2024.
Fèis a'Bhaile October Holiday Activity
The Fèis will take place Monday 21st October - Friday 25th October at BSGI - the Gaelic Primary School in Inverness (note that the event is delivered in English but with an opportunity to learn some Gaelic words and songs). For children in P3 and above we will have classes in fiddle, accordion, whistle, chanter, clarsach, keyboard and guitar as well as singing, dancing, drama and art and crafts. And for children in P1 and P2 we have Fèis Bheag with lots of fun games, crafts, songs and music. All classes can accommodate complete beginners as well as those with experience in an instrument.
