Happy weekend folks
Great week at school this week with lots of work being carried out to support our Rights Respecting Schools award journey.
World Book Day 6th March
To celebrate World Book Day pupils are invited to dress up as a character from a book, or dress down for the day. Children can bring their favourite books to school and we will share these at a whole school paired reading event.
Don't forget to submit your home-learning reading challenge entries on Monday 3rd March. Winners will be announced at World Book Day.
P1 parents are invited to the World Book Day assembly at 1:45pm on Thursday 6th as the P1 children will be giving a short presentation.
Rights Respecting Schools
Last week our Rights Respecting Group created a Central School Rights song. We discussed key messages and ideas to include. The pupils worked together to decide what our lyrics should be. The song is to the tune of ‘Old MacDonald Had A Farm’, see if you can have a go singing it! The song will be shared on Google Classroom.
Scholastic Book Fair
A scholastic book fair will be held at school during the week 11th to 17th March. More details will be posted on Google classroom.
School Open Afternoon
Details will be posted via Google classroom.
Eco Leaders
The Eco Leaders would like to share their eco ethos messages they have recently been working on. Please, spend a moment reading them with your families and discussing ways to reduce, reuse and recycle to protect our environment. See 'Everyone Takes Part' poster below
Happy weekend
