Happy Friday everyone!
Today we welcome the Easter holidays after a term filled with hard work, achievements, and wonderful moments, and we are incredibly proud of all our children. We would like to thank all our parents and carers for their continued support.
We look forward to seeing families at St Andrew's Cathedral for the Easter Service at 1:45 pm.
Staffing
We wish Mr Maclennan all the best for his retirement. He has been at school for over 15 years and we thank him for his service.
We say goodbye to Mrs Tracey who is leaving Central for a new role and we wish her every success.
Easter Egg Competition
All children have expressed they enjoyed taking part in the Easter Egg Competition A huge thank you to the Parents’ Council for generously donating sweets and chocolate eggs for all the children.
Central Community Links Café
As one of the school's fortnightly groups, the Community Links group held its first drop-in café on Wednesday. The Easter-themed event welcomed grannies, grandads, grandchildren and older family members. It was lovely to chat, and we look forward to hosting more events in the future.

Home School Partnership Learning
Go on a nature walk and observe signs of spring. Collect leaves, flowers, or twigs to create a nature collage. Discuss the life cycle of plants, weather changes, or animals seen during the walk. You can even try simple experiments like growing seeds in a jar.
Take time to share family stories, look at old photos, or explore cultural traditions. You interview grandparents or relatives about their childhood and create a scrapbook or digital presentation.
Encourage daily reading by setting a fun family challenge. Choose books related to Easter, spring, or any topic of interest. Discuss the stories together, ask children to summarize what they’ve read, or even act out parts of the story.
We hope you all have the opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones, enjoy a well-deserved break, and return refreshed for the final term of the academic year.
Wishing you a warm and happy Easter holidays,
The Central Team
