It’s been a really lovely week at school.
World Book Day
We celebrated world book day on Thursday in style. We all enjoyed seeing the variety of amazing costumes of different book characters worn by the children. Our staff this year were themed on The very hungry caterpillar by Eric Carle and had good fun with our own costumes. Every pupil was given a voucher for £1 off a book purchase.
We were delighted that Lorna Steele McGinn from Highlife Highland.
Book Fair
We are hosting a book fair next week. Details will be posted on google classroom.
Open afternoon
We invite you to open afternoon next Friday 14th March from 1.20 – 1.50pm. This will be followed by a wider achievements assembly in the hall. 2.00 – 2.20 pm approx. We look forward to seeing you then. If families are not able to attend then the task will be sent home or posted on google classroom.
Mosque visit
P3/4 had a fantastic visit to Inverness Mosque on Monday. They were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the experience.
Attendance and lateness
Attendance at school is really important. Improving attendance is a priority for schools across Scotland. Our school is fortunate to be part of a project to support families with issues related to attendance. An information leaflet will be posted on google classroom, should you wish to refer for support.
Into Film
Children from P2 – P7 will attend a film at Eden Court. Details for the two separate events will be posted on google classroom.
