Happy Friday!
Even though the weather has been wet and windy, our children been working hard across all areas of learning, showing focus and creativity.Â
đ P7âs Edinburgh Adventure
Our P7 children had an exciting school trip to Edinburgh. They travelled by train and spent the day exploring some of the cityâ. Highlights included a fascinating visit to Dynamic Earth, discovering treasures at the National Museum, and seeing key landmarks in the Old Town of the capital. The day was topped off with a delicious meal at Pizza Express â a perfect end to a fantastic adventure! Well done P7, our team were given numerous compliments about how well behaved and polite the children were during the dayÂ
đBuzz-tastic visitor
Our ELC and P1 children had a fantastic time during the beekeeperâs visit! They were fascinated to learn about the important role bees play in nature and got a close-up look at beekeeping tools. The children asked brilliant questions and were full of wonder as they explored how honey is made â a buzzing experience that sparked lots of curiosity and conversation!Â
âI like the bee suits.âÂ
âYou have to be careful because these might sting.âÂ
âHoney makes my tummy happy.â
đ„ Parent CouncilÂ
The Parent Council meeting was held on Friday morning, where we shared the most important updates about our school. We are always looking for more parents to join and help make a differenceâeveryone is very welcome to get involved!
đ Road Safety Reminder đž
A quick reminder to all parents and carers to please park safely and considerately outside the school.
Itâs especially important to be vigilant during drop-off and pick-up times. These are very busy periods, and children may be crossing the road without an adult to help them.
Please avoid:
Parking on double yellow linesÂ
Blocking driveways or the school entrance
Mounting the pavement or stopping in the middle of the road
Letâs all do our part to keep the area around the school safe for everyone â especially our children. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
đ±WhatsApp Use
We kindly ask parents to talk with their children about using social media respectfully and to remind them of the importance of being kind online. Itâs a good idea to check the rules around WhatsApp usage at home. You can find more information and helpful advice by visiting the NSPCC website.Â

đ Home School Partnership Learning Â
As part of our Reading Schools journey, weâre building a strong home-school partnership by encouraging reading for enjoyment. Here are some simple, fun ways families can enjoy reading together at home:
Read Aloud Together: Take turns reading pages or chapters of a favourite book â even older children enjoy being read to!
Create a Cozy Reading Space: Set up a special corner with cushions and books to make reading time feel extra special.
Visit the Library: Make regular trips to the local library to explore new authors and genres as a family.
Book Before Bed: Replace screen time with 10â15 minutes of reading before sleep â it helps relax and builds a love of books.
Use Audiobooks: Listen to audiobooks together during car journeys or quiet time â it's a great way to enjoy stories in a different way.
By making reading a natural and fun part of everyday life, we help children grow into lifelong readers. Letâs keep sharing the joy of stories together! đ
