Ecology is a subject that interests children too!
As parents and teachers, our responsibility is to teach them the right things to do to protect the environment from an early age, so that they continue to apply them even as adults.
Here are just a few examples of the activities and topics covered in the first semester:
Gardening: take part in an eco-friendly activity by planting local flowers, herbs, vegetables or even a small tree. Turn gardening into a shared adventure. Explain the importance and benefits of plants in balancing our planet.
Creative ecological activities: transform recyclable objects into artistic treasures or make musical instruments! Children will love creating works of art while learning how to reduce waste.
Renewable energy education: incorporate renewable energy activities such as creating windmills or boats that move with the force of a rubber band.
Handicrafts using objects collected in nature: the children will be asked to collect pebbles, shells, sticks, leaves, seeds, flowers, etc. during their family walks and bring them back to class. We will then use all our creativity to create original objects or toys from these materials.
Other examples include reading stories and documentaries on ecology, playing board games to raise awareness of the environment, making land art, etc...
Parents will be invited to the open house at the last session.
