How does the registration system work and why in this way?

What is the difference between the categories?
IFS offers a variety of activities, from art to sport, as well as pedagogical activities. We know this can be confusing for parents, so here are the explanations :
Pedagogical workshop such as L.I.F.E, Choir, Pop Rock & PMUN are offered to parents by IFS and are therefore free of charge.
All other sporting and non-sporting activities are at the parents' expense.
Why can't we develop more activities, especially popular activities?
We share the facilities with the teaching team and therefore with the physical education teachers at the secondary school. We are therefore limited and can only use the facilities available in our timetable. For example, we'd like to develop gymnastics and climbing sessions, but the facilities are already used by the secondary school's sports classes.
How the bus system works after ECA?
Note: The cost is not included in the ECA or school bus prices.
⚠️You can register for Bus service (September Registrations)
Woodlands Transport, the service provider selected by IFS, proposes a return bus service after ECAs with centralised drop-off points, better adapted to the rhythm of the extracurricular activities (with different children present each day of the week). This bus service operates from Monday to Friday (for the 2 Friday sessions). There is no bus service on Saturday morning.
You will find all the necessary information (list of drop-off points, rates etc…) on the IFS transport page.
Why can't all the proposed activities/sessions be launched?
Some activities/sessions will not be able to be launched because too few students have been registered. Parents will be informed by email.
Snack before ECA ?
Children may bring a snack for the ECA which they can eat during the waiting time between the end of school and the start of the activity, but they should not bring food containing peanuts or nuts due to serious allergies in some children (e.g. nuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, certain spreads or cereal bars, sweets, pralines, etc.).
How do the Friday ECAs canteen work?
Organisation 12.45pm:
If your child is registered for an ECA at 12.45pm, he/she will be dropped to the canteen by his/her teacher at 12.15pm to eat his/her meal.
If your child is on a canteen diet at school from Monday to Thursday, he/she will compulsorily be on a canteen diet on Friday. Please do not bring a lunch box. (You will be invoiced in addition 85 SGD (semi-annual ECAs) or 170 SGD (annual ECAs)
If your child is on a lunch box diet at school from Monday to Thursday, he/she will compulsorily be on a lunch box diet on Friday. Please bring a lunch box (please be careful not to bring to school food containing peanuts or nuts which can cause serious allergies in some children (e.g. nuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, certain spreads, cereal bars, industrial pastries, confectionery, pralines, etc.)).
After lunch, he/she will be picked up by his/her ECA instructor at 12.45pm to go to his/her activity.
Please note that the choice of diet is definitive until the end of the semester.
Organisation 2.30pm:
If your child doesn't have any ECA at 12.45pm, he/she will have to leave the school after the class at 12.15pm and have to come back at 2.30pm for his/her ECA (meeting at the elementary canteen - campus 2900).
If your child has an activity at 12.45pm and then a second activity at 2.30pm, he/she will be dropped off by his/her instructor at the canteen for a snack (please provide one) and will be picked up by his/her instructor at 2.30pm to go to his/her second activity.
