Through this ECA children will learn to manipulate materials, shape forms, and breathe life into their imaginative visions. Through hands-on activities, they will be introduced to the art of sculpting, discovering the power of texture, proportion, and spatial awareness.

Students will discover the power of transforming ordinary materials into extraordinary works of art. Students will be encouraged to incorporate recycled materials into their sculptures, fostering environmental consciousness and resourcefulness.

Students will learn an array of techniques and mediums, unlocking their creative potential. From the ancient art of paper mache to the versatile wonders of plaster bandaging, they will experiment, mold, and shape their imagination, bringing their artistic visions to life.

With flexibility at the forefront, the children will be encouraged to explore their interests and immerse themselves in the sculpting process as they create 4-7 unique sculptures, tailored to their depth, time, and passions.

During this exciting adventure, students will venture into the world of relief sculptures, where they'll mold and shape modeling clay to create captivating designs that pop from the surface. They'll explore the intricacies of this art form, experimenting with texture, and depth. Students will dive into the realm of wire-based sculptures. With wire as their guide, they'll learn to manipulate and bend it into graceful shapes, creating stunning masterpieces.

And what's a sculpture journey without a touch of whimsy? Students will delve into the realm of paper mache animals. Armed with paper, glue, and their vivid imaginations, they'll bring their sculptures to life with color and captivating details.

Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to work with plaster strips, carefully observing safety guidelines, and exploring its unique properties. They'll learn the art of layering, sculpting, and finishing their designs to perfection.

Sculpture Quest is all about nurturing creativity, allowing children to follow their passions, and embracing their individuality.

Parents will be invited to the open house at the last session.
