Mr. Adam's Garden

By: Levi Loose

This year, Mr. Adam's garden has been very successful, with over 146 lbs of vegetables donated to the food bank. Mr. Adams has been creating these gardens for the past six years. He has been sending the food to food banks, the school cafe, and Mr. Pangonis’s cooking class.

A project like this takes a vast amount of work and money to do. Mr. Adams would have students from multiple classes help out with the garden. Students from his 3-D class built the garden beds, seventh graders and the Physics class filled them with soil, and Jackie Lear, a twelfth grade student, started planting seeds. Mr. Adams would get grants from companies that included Scott's, Gromoregood, Sodexo, and Waste Management.

“I'm excited to see the kids experience the soil and playing with the worms,” Mr. Adams says. “Also seeing the difference between store bought and self grown crops.” We look forward to seeing what he does next year.
