Heritage Conference Cheer

The Heritage Conference added gameday competitions to the Heritage Conference Cheerleading Competition. In the past, the heritage cheerleading competition consisted of performing a two minute routine twice, once before intermission and one after, now things are different.

In previous years, there were only a couple teams actually competing because most teams in the Heritage Conference did not have the skill level to compete, including Homer-Center cheerleaders. The Homer-Center cheerleading team has gained a lot of new cheerleaders with no previous stunting experience. This is still a good thing because they are extremely talented in many other categories.

With that knowledge, the Heritage Conference added Gameday Competition! Gameday is more of a football based competition. The competition consists of fight song dances, offense and defense cheers, and crowd involvement cheers. This is a better alternative for other schools who might not have the skill level to perform. For the past few weeks coaches: Kristy Coy, Sandi Shamberger, and H-C cheerleaders have been putting together a routine to perform for Gameday.

They are excited to debut their routine to other schools and the Indiana community to  show them that they are still in the game! This is the first time Homer-Center has ever been a part of a Gameday Competition!
