HOMER-CENTER - Homer Center students and staff were recently interviewed over the purchase of the Indiana Mall for around 7 billion dollars. Their questions featured asking what stores they would add, how fun they felt the mall is, etc. Here’s what they had to say.

Student, Brian Mills said, “It’s a fun family thing to do but it would be a lot better if there were more stores to go to.”

Indiana Mall is located inside of Indiana County which is pretty small. Most people interviewed agreed it could use some renovations and more stores. Some even suggested a food court. Most compared it to Westmoreland Mall and suggested that it should look more like that with the amount of stores and food places inside. Freshman Jeremiah Rushton said that they “Need more clothing stores that women like.” Oshen J Maratita added that he likes the hat stores and Auntie Anne’s.

We also wanted to get a sense of what the HC staff thought since they’ve lived here longer and have gotten to see more changes to it than we have.

Mr. Buffone pondered on Capri Pizza and he remembered going there and eating pizza while watching TV’s that you paid quarters to watch. He also remembered going to an arcade with his leftover quarters.

Lastly we managed to get a hold of the manager of Indiana Mall, Sherry Ronowsky, and asked her a few questions.

She started off with saying that it was sad to see the mall sold, but it’s mainly just something that happens. She then said that "it will bring more stores in."

But what kind of stores should the customers look out for? They will remove vacant stores and they plan on adding restaurants and some anchor stores.
