Mrs. Magolis

You may know Mrs. Magolis is just your English teacher, however she has a lot more to her than you’d expect.

Before teaching, she traveled to many states to work in the news. She traveled to Tennessee and Texas to be a field reporter, Maine to be an anchor, and went back to her hometown in Ohio to be an on air reporter.

After her time in the News industry, she settled in Pennsylvania, where she met her husband and started teaching. She originally taught Elementary school in Brookville, and came to Homer-Center only 15 years ago. She was originally hired in the communications and media department, but was later given a job teaching middle school English as well. For anyone wondering, she prefers Homer better. Mrs. Magolis has been in charge of the school newspaper, the HCObserver for 5 years, and the Page turners book club for 3 years.

In her free time, she likes to garden and cook. She loves trying new recipes, but her favorite recurring dish is homemade chicken alfredo. You may not be surprised about this, but she loves to read. Her favorite series is the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.

They're really is more to Mrs. Magolis than teaching. Her background and experiences are really an interesting story, and the components that make her are truly beautiful.
