Mrs.Collins

At Homer there are many people in the school that might go unnoticed. One of the biggest helpers in the school is Mrs. Collins. She is the guidance office secretary. She takes care of a lot like enrolling & withdrawing students, grading, making sure transcripts are up to date and sent out when they need to be, keeping the guidance website up to date, scheduling in the summer with Mr. Rainey, and helping Mr. Krejocic and Mrs. Curci with anything they need.

Mrs. Collins was a student here at Homer-Center and graduated in 1986. She says “not much has changed” since she was a student here at Homer. Mrs. Collins was an x-ray technician before she came to work at Homer. When asked what drew you back to Homer she said “I knew I didn’t want to do x-rays anymore and I wanted a job where I could work when the kids were in school and be home with them when they were not in school. So working at the school was perfect for that schedule.”

In Mrs. Collins free time she enjoys “traveling, camping, watching sports (especially football), and spending time with my family.” Her family consists of her husband Greg, three kids Natalie, Claire, and Joshua Sasala, and her three dogs Brosco, Ruby, and Daisy. When asked ‘do you enjoy working in the guidance office?’ Mrs. Collins responded with, “Yes! I love my job! I have the best co-workers and the students at Homer-Center are great.”
