Ian Bocz is a freshman at Homer-Center High School. He is a part of the school’s cross country and track team. He has a strong belief in being a good friend to others. He believes being a good friend is to be kind to one another, being nice, and being easy to approach and to talk to. Feeling a sort of comfort talking to a friend is what he looks for in a person. He has many role models that have impacted him through his lifetime, the most important person being Tom Brady. He is truly amazed with what Tom Brady has accomplished at his age and thinks it is very inspirational to see. Being a new student in the high school this year, he finds it one of the many struggles to be having to wear a mask. He finds it hard to socialize with friends and with the whole pandemic having social distance with friends makes it even harder to be close with friends during the school year. Ian’s personal favorite teachers in Homer-Center are Mr.Buffone and Mr.Hall. He likes these two teachers for their fun personalities in and out of the classroom and for how similar their interests are. One of Ian’s future goals is to move to Florida, he stated that, “I wanted to  relax on the beach everyday and have hot weather all year round.” During his next few high school years he would like to remain on the honor roll and maintain good grades.
