Alexis Mitchell

This is Alexis Mitchell. She loves to read, watch movies, and go outside in her free time. Along with that, some of her hobbies include reading, painting, and hiking. Her greatest accomplishment is getting into the Jr.high national honors society, and she looks up to her mother. The hardest things for her to do because of stereotypes is wearing what she wants, studying what she wants, and getting the career she wants. Despite this though, she wants to go to college, but is unsure what career yet. The hardest thing she had to overcome was learning that it doesn’t matter what other people think. We asked her, “If she could say one sentence to the would what would it be?”

She responded with this remarkable statement, “Live in the moment.” Her reasoning behind this sentence is, she thinks that too many people are worrying about what will happen or or what they are going to change and aren’t really focused on enjoying their time in the present.
