Colonial Excellence in Education

Our guidance counselors have started a new initiative with Colonial called Colonial Excellence in Education. The goal of this program is to recognize student excellence in Indiana County. The program was just announced last year and their first senior recognition was in October. 

People are chosen on a nomination basis, and teachers and students alike can be nominated for the award. According to Colonial, one of the main criteria for the award is “Have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues”, which is a criteria for students and educators alike. So far from our school, Molly Kosmack, Justley Sharp, and Julia King have received the nominations. The nominees will go to a banquet this spring, where they will have the opportunity to win a car.
