HC Swim Team Kicks Off the Season

The HC Swim Team just had its inaugural practice last month. The team has been many years in the making, with the school board approving the team this September. Currently, the team has 16 swimmers, but other students have expressed interest in joining. They have been practicing at Zinc Hall in Indiana.

The team will be competing against other schools in the area, including Ligonier Valley, Northern Cambria, Tyrone, Marion Center, and Bellefonte. Students will also have the opportunity to compete in District and State competitions. They will also be hosting home meets at Memorial Hall on the IUP Campus. After speaking with some of the swimmers, they had all come to the same consensus: They were all very excited about the new team the opportunities that it will bring!
