Mrs.Curci

Here at Homer-Center there is an amazing team of staff. One of the staff members is Mrs. Curci who is one of our guidance counselors. Mrs. Curci never dreamed of being a school counselor; she actually dreamed of “having a tv show as a chef, a cooking show.” Her husband was the one who told her to try out being a school counselor. Mrs. Curci really enjoys her job. She feels like her purpose on Earth is to help other people. “I really like to give back. My motivation is to give back.”

Mrs. Curci, until she was a freshman in high school, lived in Orrville, Ohio. She told us that Orrville was, “where Smuckers jelly was from. I went to highschool with some of the Smuckers.” Then during the middle of her freshman year her dad got a new job and she started going to a new school called Canton Mckinley “which is on the same property as the Football Hall of Fame.” She gives credit for where she is in life to her husband, parents, and God.

Her family consists of her husband, her son and daughter, and their two pets, a cat and a dog. One of her favorite hobbies is gardening. Mrs. Curci said, “I really like to garden. I spend a lot of time gardening and just being outdoors in general.” She also said at this stage in her life she is “constantly doing things with her kids.” We asked her “If you could be anywhere, where would it be?” and she answered with, “Honestly I would be anywhere that my family is.”
