Time 4 Design
Situation
The school has some BBC Microbits. These devices have been created by the BBC (yes the TV people!) to help teach physical computing. Using these devices, you have been asked to create a product that will solve a problem. Following the Microbit "Do Your Bit Challenge" competition you will create a product that somehow relates to the UN's SDGs.
You are going to design and make an arcade game prototype out of cardboard, using the Microbit.

Finding, interpreting, judging and creating information
Identify primary and secondary sources (See this POSTER)
Some questions to consider through this unit.
What is a micro-controller?
What are input and outputs in a computer system?
What are sensors?
What is Moore’s Law?
What is e-waste?
What are the SDGs?
How have devices with microcomputers developed over time?
How do we balance using technology to solve problems with the negative effects of mass production and e-waste?
We're going to be using the BBC MicroBIt.
