Time 4 Design
Task Specific Clarification
Task 1
Design detailed and relevant testing methods, which generate data, to measure the success of the solution (see link for example and this link for details)
Authentic tests: The tests are relevant to the project and are completed by appropriate testers to gain high-quality quantitative and qualitative feedback. An effective and authentic measure of a design solution means that you the student have tested against every aspect of the design specification. These tests can be classified as follows:
Expert Appraisal
Client Interview
Target Audience video review and feedback
Comparison review against an Product or Brand advertisement
Performance or Productivity test (this could be post screening review event to from a larger audience)
You must design with detail (3-4) authentic product testing methods that includes (i.e. clearly describe why you are doing the specified testing method, who the testing was completed by; why is the test used; how many people; what questions were asked; what actions were performed; etc.)
Product tests provide relevant (accurate) feedback/data (both qualitative and quantitative) that will help prove the success of the product. All testing results are summarised.
Task 2
Critically evaluate the success of the solution against the design specification (see link & link & link for details)
You must complete a detailed summary for each different testing method
Task 3
Explain how the product/solution could be improved (see link for examples)
Task 4
Explain the impact of the solution on the client/target audience (see link and link for examples)
Task 5
Refer to the ATL Skills (and their indicators) and write a self-reflection on what ATL skills you covered throughout the tasks that reflect these skills.
What tasks did you undertake that helped to you develop your ATL skills?
What did you discover through these skills in your approach to learning?
What other subject areas can you transfer these learnt skills?
Complete the Group work breakdown
