Time 4 Design
i. outline simple, relevant testing methods, which generate data, to measure the success of the solution
ii. outline the success of the solution against the design specification
iii. outline how the solution could be improved
iv. outline the impact of the solution on the client/target audience.
Task 1
Strand 1: Outline simple, relevant testing methods, which generate data, to measure the success of the solution
Step 1: Using your Design Brief write a Survey similar to the one you used in the previous unit using GOOGLE FORMS. Include a link to your final podcast and survey 5 people and find out if your design has been successful.
(see this video for help with setting up Google Form
What other ways can you test your solution?
Step 2: Present the results of the survey including the feedback. List how many people completed the survey with their names; what questions were asked; and what actions were performed.
(This tutorial may be of help)
Task 2: Outline the success of the solution against the design specification
Step 1: Carefully consider the Design Specification and clearly indicate how your solution meets each success criterion. In other words, objectively judge the solution against the specifications to indicate whether or not you were successful.
Step 2: Present the results and clearly outline the overall success of your final Podcast Design.
See the Chart Decisions file below to help you choose how you will present your results.
S3: Improving the Solution
Task: Outline how the solution could be improved
Step 1: Analyze your data from Task 2 and make conclusions to identify strengths and weaknesses of the solution, along with opportunities for further development.
Step 2: Make suggestions (for changes) that might improve your podcast and outline how making these changes would actually improve your final product.
Task: Outline the impact of the solution on the client/target audience
Step 1: Clearly outline how successful your podcast was at being informative and entertaining . Does it meet your needs? How will your audience opinion of a safer internet change as a result of listening to your podcast?
Consider the following questions to explain the impact of the solution on the your target audience:
To what extent has your problem been solved?
How does this solution improve your situation?
To what extent have you met the design brief?
Are there any negative effects this solution could have?
Step 2: Provide suggestions for how you could improve the podcast to meet your needs better.
This is how you'll be assessed:
