Strand i- Specifications
At the end of Criterion A, you developed a design brief which was a summary of all the relevant discoveries you found in your research and analysis of existing products. Using your design brief as a guide, now write up a list of the specifications.
Your task will be to develop design specifications for your solution, which clearly states the success criteria. Aspects to consider when creating your specifications include aesthetics, cost, customer, environmental considerations, size, safety, form, function, manufacturing, materials (ACCESS FM) (More on this from the IB website table 18 HERE).
The specifications need to be SMART.
S= Specific
M= Measurable
A= Achievable
R= Realistic
T= Testable
You should also add if the specification is essential or desirable.
More on specifications can be found at Mr Stevenson's website HERE
