Time 4 Design
A workbook template is available HERE (adjust to your own unit)
1. Construct a logical plan of development for your product/model that describes the efficient use of time, resources, quality control and health and safety procedures in detail. The plan must be sufficient for peers to be able to follow to create the solution. (see sample)
2. Follow the plan to create the product/model. When printing you need to demonstrate excellent technical skills by using a wide range of techniques during its development. Also include a screenshot/photograph and short annotation at each milestone of the process.
3. Fully justify with annotated and visual evidence any changes made to the functionality and design and plan when making the product/model.
4. Complete a final quality check of your product/model. Submit with supported written documentation.
5. Check Rubric before submission
Task*: Outline a plan, which considers the use of resources and time, sufficient for peers to be able to follow to create the solution
Copy the table structure below, or use the one in the template HERE, and create a step-by-step guide to show the process for how and when you will make your print.
Your plan must present all of the relevant details in a clear, easily understandable, logical manner, which could be followed by your peers to make your book with little to no need for clarification.
Task: Demonstrate excellent technical skills when making the solution
You need to demonstrate a wide range of complex skills and work independently, requiring minimal guidance after initial instructions from teacher. The skills you are expected to demonstrate include all of the steps you have identified in your plan for creating the solution.
Step 1: Take screenshots at each milestone or have someone take a photograph of you while you demonstrate excellent technical skills during creation/production process.
Step 2: Include these screenshots and photographs along with some annotation of what they show in your document.
NOTE: The complexity of your skills will be determined by criteria below:
Accuracy of the solution: Have all parts been made as detailed in the plan? Have all parts been made accurately?
Final aesthetic quality of the solution: Has the student given appropriate attention to detail, considering the final overall look and feel of the solution?
Assembly of the solution: Do all components fit together or combine as detailed in the plan?
Task: Follow your plan to create the solution, which functions as intended and is presented appropriately
Submit your piece/model.
Task: List the changes made to the chosen design and plan when making the solution
Step 1: Present images of your finished product/model.
Step 2: Clearly list and describe all the changes that occurred in your final product when compared to your final design and your plan.
