Time 4 Design
Task Specific Clarification
Task 1
Design and complete a test that will gather data to help you understand if you have been successful in creating a successful product.
Go back to the beginning of the unit and refresh your understanding of the problem your design was meant to solve. Look at the inquiry questions (MIcrobit unit questions can be found HERE)
Chose one of the following options to complete:
Option 1:
Compile a survey aimed at your target audience. The questions should be written to give you data and feedback on whether your product (or parts of it) has been successful, based on your original specifications and design situation.
you could use Google Forms, or Survey Monkey to do this (or any other platform you know of).
Turn the data you have created in the survey into graphs or charts.
Explain what conclusions you can make from this data, and how this is helping you solve the design situation and met your specifications.
Option 2:
Conduct an Interview with your client, or an expert (this could also be a classmate or family member) to ask if you have been successful.Â
The questions should be written to give you data and feedback on whether your product has been successful, based on your original specifications
and design situation.
Include your questions and their responses in your project folder.
Explain what conclusions you can make from this interview, and how this is helping you solve the design situation and met your specifications.
Task 2
Effectively evaluate the success of your product design against the design specifications. (this can be done in a table)
Task 3
Explain how the product could be improved (lots can be written here! Base it on the feedback you have recieved)
Task 4
Explain the impact your product design has had on your client/target audience (written in your design situation, criterion A)
MORE guidance on Criterion D can be found HERE and HERE
