Throughout history, the population of the world played games. They played games with balls, cups, people, or just arms. They did this for glory, competition or just for plain fun. For the people of today and tomorrow games shifted from real life sweaty interaction to a computer based game. A popular example would be anything from Tetris to Fortnite. Some say that this change caused the young population to be more disconnected from each other. While others say it has bring them together. While my research informed that is a bit of both. I researched the topic of “How video games affect the younger generation of people”. The purpose of the research was to find how video affect the youth in both a positive and negative way. The gathering of information for the research started with reputable source of information, as in Pewinternet and Science Daily. Both information gathering organization has and had most to not all of their articles reviewed and fact checked. From this I found that video games have a positive and small negative impact on the youth. As in giving them new skills in strategy, hand eye coordination, and making new lifelong friends online. Though it can be addictive and lead to making one game the central part of your life. Though on the down side I was unable to get large scale first person testimony on the subject. I had to rely on the small amount of information I collected and compared it to the larger reputable websites. In the end, the claims were proved to be fact in the average population of people. The truth was and now is, that video games done in moderation can help the youth of today enrich their lives just as physical games can.
