When entering the business of floral work I had an idea that it would be a simple and smooth task with little to no hiccups, my purpose of involving myself in this business was to study the structure of floral arranging and the emotional impact a single floral arrangement could leave. I wanted to be able to see the big picture of why floral arrangements can be such a big part of an individual's life. Throughout the learning process, I was able to utilize my knowledge of physcology and use that information to help manipulate my arrangement so that it would leave an impact in that person's life, based off of the ideas and reasoning for arranging provided by the clients. Furthermore, presenting the floral arrangements to clients after taking their ideas and consideration into the piece it showed me that there is art and beauty in anything that is able to move people in that way. And lead me to answer my question that floral pieces are indeed a form of artwork and by really understanding this, it will help me to recognize art in any shape or form.
