Mentors: Katie Zottnick, SISU integrated learning
My research is driven in hopes of helping children develop fully and become the best versions of themselves in the future. My interest is gained by admiration to early child development and outcome of what it stands for. I am passionate about this field because I truly believe that focusing on the next generation will improve our society as a whole. The main focus of my research was to place children in a setting that is accommodated to each of their personal needs. Not only that, but also a place that was comfortable to their parents, and helped them nourish and overgrow in the best way possible. Through my mentorship I witnessed many cases where a child was wrongly placed in a classroom they should not have been in. By having teachers and other staff to help parents realize that their child was not capable of overachieving their necessities as a student in that class. With my experience, my mentorship, and the knowledge gained through my research I feel more than confident that this will be a major factor in the development of children’s style and placement of learning all throughout SISU facilities.
