Hello Parents,

Here at school, we have been very busy learning about responsibility- what it means and how we can be responsible students and citizens! Learning happens best when it is done both at school and at home. Below are many ways that you can help your child continue to learn about the theme of responsibility by reading about it, talking about it, and practicing it! We have really enjoyed exploring this topic at school, and I hope your family will enjoy it just as much!

Aquí en la escuela, hemos estado muy ocupados aprendiendo sobre la responsabilidad, ¡lo que significa y cómo podemos ser estudiantes y ciudadanos responsables! El aprendizaje ocurre mejor cuando se realiza tanto en la escuela como en casa. A continuación, se muestran muchas formas en las que puede ayudar a su hijo a seguir aprendiendo sobre el tema de la responsabilidad como leyendo, hablando y practicándolo. ¡Realmente disfrutamos explorando este tema en la escuela, y espero que su familia tambien lo disfrute!

Responsibility is the ability to take ownership of both accomplishments and mistakes.

• Help your child practice responsibility by giving him/her chores! (¡Ayude a su hijo a practicar la responsabilidad dándole tareas!)

• Set Expectations (Establezca expectativas)

• Allow Choices (Permitir opciones)

• Trust child/teen (Confiar en el niño / adolescente)

• Let There Be Consequences (Que haya consecuencias)
