Hello parents,

We are happy to be back in school! After being out of school for over a year, all GUSD teachers are excited to welcome students back to school throughout the month of May. Our teachers have been working hard to prepare for the return of your student. During the pandemic teacher were challenged to learn new ways to teach virtually. They worked incredible hard to make sure that ALL student were learning at their full capacity virtually. For their incredible work we honor all our teachers during this first week of May.

Every May, students and parents have the opportunity during National Teacher Appreciation Week to honor and thank the educators who have a major influence on their children's lives. This year, National Teacher Appreciation Week is from May 3 through 7 and is celebrated in schools across the country. We encourage you to show your appreciation to your students teacher this week.

¡Estamos felices de volver a la escuela! Después de estar fuera de la escuela por más de un año, nuestros maestros está emocionado de dar la bienvenida a todos nuestros estudiantes a la escuela durante el mes de mayo. Nuestros maestros han estado trabajando arduamente para prepararse para el regreso de su estudiante. Durante la pandemia, los maestros tuvieron el desafío de aprender nuevas formas de enseñar virtualmente. Trabajaron increíblemente duro para asegurarse de que su estudiante aprendiera lo máximo posible virtualmente. Por su increíble trabajo, honramos a todos nuestros maestros durante la primer semana en Mayo.

Cada mes de mayo, los estudiantes y los padres tienen la oportunidad durante la Semana Nacional de Apreciación a los Maestros para honrar y agradecer a los educadores que tienen una gran influencia en la vida de sus hijos. Este año, la Semana Nacional de Apreciación a los Maestros es del 3 al 7 de mayo y se celebra en las escuelas de todo el país. Le animamos a que muestre su agradecimiento al maestro de sus alumnos esta semana.
