January 2021

Anything worth learning takes time. So keep at it and don't give up.

The topic for this time of the year is : Resilience.

Resilience means that you don't let things bother you. A resilient child is one who is able to manage their emotions when they face adversity (so they can keep working towards their goal). Resilient children start by facing their feelings about the situation and contain any disappointment, frustration or anger.

Lesson Objectives:

  1. Students will learn not to give up when faced with a challenge.

  2. Students will learn to not be afraid to try something new.

  3. Students will learn that managing their emotions is helpful.

Students will learn:

1.) To keep trying even when you fail at something.

2.) It's okay to talk to yourself, tell yourself good thing about YOU!!!

3.) Resilient people accomplish many things.

Don't be Afraid to try something new - roller skating, jumping rope, making something to eat, going to sleep early and see what happens. All these items are things to help you become more resilient.
