The Unseen Grant Morrison - Luther Arkwright pinup

Originally published in Valkyrie Press's The Adventures of Luther Arkwright - Arkeology compendium in 1989, this pinup by Grant featured alongside art from fellow British comics glitterati Dave Gibbons, Arkham Asylum's Dave McKean, Halo Jones and Robusters' Ian Gibson, underground legend Hunt Emerson and Morrison's fellow Near Myths alumni Graham Manley and Tony O'Donnell.

Bryan Talbot's Luther Arkwright, a time-and-dimension hopping, uniquely British tale in the vein of Michael Moorcock's Jerry Cornelius stories, appeared alongside Morrison's similarly Moorcock-influenced Gideon Stargrave in Near Myths magazine from 1977 to 1980 before spinning off into its own irregularly published title appearing sporadically throughout the rest of eighties. There was also an audio adaption in 2005 starring David Tennant, right on the cusp of Doctor Who mega-stardom.

If you've never read The Adventures of Luther Arkwright I would heartily recommend tracking a copy down as, quite frankly, its excellent. The pinup below was, as far as I know, last seen in issue seven of Dark Horse's 1990 reprinting of the compete Luther Arkwright saga. If anyone objects to its publication here, as usual please get in touch.
