Lift Kingswood Open Evening, Wednesday 17th September 2025. Open to Years 4, 5 & 6. Arrive at 5pm, 6pm or 7pm.
In order to ensure students leave our academy with high levels of cultural and global awareness, they participate in activities that push them out of their comfort zone through our Student Experience Passport. The passport is a list of activities for students to try linked to:
Culture (eg Visit the National History Museum, London, Visit a Non-European Country, write a short story set in a foreign culture)
Wellbeing (eg run a 10K race, try 3 new enrichment activities, complete a cross-stitch or knitting design)
Heritage (eg visit Burton Constable in Skirlaugh, create your own family tree, visit the Wilberforce museum)
Enterprise (eg plan and achieve a SMART goal that you set yourself over a half term, create the Barclays 'Wheel of Strength' or create your own budget and stick to it)
World (eg celebrate a national holiday from outside of the UK, learn basic conversational phrases in a non-european language, try new food from 3 different countries)
Community (eg volunteer to walk a dog at the local RSPCA, check in on a neighbour or family member who is struggling, learn who your local MP is and what issues they are trying to solve)
For those students who achieve their 100 points already, they will enter into a competition to receive the gold badge for the year: a mark of recognition for students who have gone above and beyond by striving to involve themselves in activities which aren't listed on the experience passport, but still link to our passport categories.
