Sports Day

Each year, towards the end of the summer term, students in Years 7, 8 and 9 take part in the Kingswood Academy House Sports Day.  All students compete for a day of friendly competition between the Houses.  

There is always fierce rivalry in a wide range of track and field events and we also hold House banners and House chant competitions.  The emphasis is on participation with all students expected to volunteer to represent their house. The atmosphere is fantastic with cheers and applause for every participant.  The winning House is awarded the Sports Day cup which is adorned with the appropriate coloured ribbons and displayed in the trophy cabinet for the whole year.
