Academy Opening Times
Our reception is open from 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday during Term Time. The academy reception is not open during the school holidays or during designated staff training days.
The academy day runs from 8:30am to 3:00pm for all Year 7 to Year 10 students (32.5 hours per week). Selected Year 10 students are required, on request, to attend additional lessons until 4:00pm.
The academy day runs from 8:30am to 4:00pm for all Year 11 students (37.5 hours per week). Selected Year 11 students are required, on request, to attend compulsory additional lessons that finish at 5:00pm and where directed twilight sessions that finish at 7:30pm. In addition students will also be directed to weekend and holiday intervention sessions which are also compulsory.
Important Notice:
We understand that people can become angry when they feel that matters about which they feel strongly are not being dealt with as they wish. If that anger escalates into aggression towards any of our staff, we consider that unacceptable.
Aggressive or abusive behaviour includes language (whether verbal or written) that may cause staff to feel afraid, threatened or abused and may include threats, personal verbal abuse, derogatory remarks and rudeness.
Any aggression or abuse directed towards our staff will not be tolerated. If this does occur, we will take appropriate action which may include denying access to the premises and if necessary involve the police.
