CNA Course Requirements:
The State of Iowa requires 90% attendance for all lectures, labs, and clinical sessions. This is strictly enforced.
Students must earn a minimum of 80% to receive a passing grade in HSC 172: Nurse Aide and HSC 182: Advanced Nurse Aide. This passing grade must also be earned for the student to be eligible to complete the board testing at the end of the course.

PREREQUISITE: Nurse Aide, passing both sections of the Certified Nursing Aide Competency Exam
This course is a continuation of Nurse Aide to provide additional skills and clinical experience to work in a hospital setting. Course HSC 182 requires extended clinical sessions in evenings and/or weekends.
