Design Foundations is an introductory course to higher-level visual arts and focuses on the study of and the application of Elements and Principles of Design, to works of art. Students will explore a variety of media in the realm of two and three-dimensional works of art. Academic requirements include in-class studio time, project assignments in class, keeping a visual journal, participation in class critiques, and written examinations over techniques and vocabulary.
