Students will develop survival skills as a single living on their own. Develop skills in personal and professional decision-making, problem solving and communication. An emphasis on personal money management and budgeting, reading rental agreements and purchasing rental insurance, navigating credit card and loan contracts, discussing insurance needs, checking accounts, online banking, and credit card usage. Investigate mortgage and transportation needs and costs, identity theft, and investment strategies. Another large component of principles and procedures with food preparation and menu planning.

(Prerequisite for Food Sanitation & Safety 1 with a grade of a C or higher.)
