Traditional Fine Art Crafts class will encompass more traditional, craft-based art forms - where specific skills and tools are needed. Some examples of traditional crafts that may be explored: wire jewelry, bookmaking, art glass, paper quilling. The student will develop technical skills and familiarize themselves with the functions of visual elements as they create an individual work of art. Academic requirements include in-class studio time, class assignments in class, keeping a visual journal, participation in class critiques, and written examinations over techniques and vocabulary.
