The students will demonstrate kitchen safety and sanitation requirements for basic food preparation. Through the use of a peer, students will integrate recipe reading skills, proper measurement skills, preparation skills, and solutions for meal preparation clean up. Students will also demonstrate food storage principles, portion control skills, nutrition requirements using myPlate in food presentations and beginning cooking techniques.
