Squirrel

The Ambiguity of the Word ‘Squirrel’: Swadesh asks for ‘squirrel’, to begin with, in the part of the interview segment before the sound file which we have online begins.  The Grey Squirrel species is an introduced species in Oregon, possibly introduced after Lolly had grown up.  When Swadesh goes on to ask for ‘chipmunk’, in the part of the interview segment which we actually do have online, first Daisy and then Lolly say this word.
