We need to set up our sketchbooks properly in order to hold additional papers you get over the course of the tri. To do this, you will need to create a pocket!
Step 1: Collect your sketchbook
Step 2: On the front of your sketchbook cover, write your name and period in the top left corner
Step 3: Check out the pocket that has been placed on the inside of the front cover.
Step 4: Using pencil, take your time, and draw something coming out of your 'pocket' area; color it in nicely! Fill your space!
(explosion of color, robot arm, bouquet of flowers, etc.)
Step 5: Bring sketchbook to Mrs. Yelenick for a check
* If you complete this before class is over, create a hand zentangle on your first page *
Step 5: Collect a piece of thin cardboard from Mrs. Yelenick- she needs to check your drawing!
Step 6: Measure out a rectangle that will serve as your pocket (to fit your planned dimensions, 8x5in)
Step 7: Tape the inner side of the pocket to yout inside cover
Step 8: Staple the outer (left and bottom) edges of your pocket to create a closed seal
