Animal on a Couch
Welcome to your first PS mini-project:
Title: Lastname_Animal on a Couch
Dimensions: 5 x 7 INCHES or 7 x 5 INCHES
STEPS:
Create your canvas
Place your empty room (already saved to your computer from google)
Use your tools to move your room around and adjust the size (Move tool)
Pull lin your couch layer (File > Open & Place...)
Cut out and place your couch (Move tool, lasso tool, wand tool, eraser tool, etc.)
Pull in your animal (File > Open & Place...)
Cut out and move you animal where you want it (Move tool, lasso tool, wand tool, eraser tool, ctrl c and ctrl v, etc.)
Create shadows beneath your animal (onto the couch) and beneath the couch (onto the floor) - make sure you are on the right layer!
SAVE YOUR WORK!
Still working? - File > Save as PSD (this keeps your layers separate)
All finished? - File > Export as... > JPG (this merges all your layers together and makes it so you can place it on your website/turn it in to Google Classroom)
Turn in your work to the assignment in Google Classroom
To turn in the file: Click the Create/add file button > File > Upload/Browse > Find your file > Open > TURN IN
Place it on your PhotoShop Worksheet page of your website (this is also where your PhotoPea worksheet shuld be)!
To upload an image on your site: Edit > Insert > Image > Upload (find your image) > OK > SAVE
Way to go- you're all done!
TOOLS:
Paint Bucket tool- to paint an entire area a selected color
Lasso Tool- to select a specific area (follows mouse)
Magic Eraser tool- erases pixels in the same color range (be careful with this one!)
Marquee tool- selects pixels in a specific area (rectangle or elipse)
Burn tool- darken pixels (for the shadows)
Layers panel- to check the layer that you are working on
History panel- to go back several steps if necessary
To upload an image on your site: Edit > Insert > Image > Upload (find your image) > OK > SAVE
To upload your PS tools doc: Go to the PS reference page on your site > Edit > Insert> Drive > Find your doc > OK > SAVE
