Literal Compound Word Interpretations
Assignment:
Pick three to six (closed form) compound words and create the images that depict literal interpretations.
For example: What would a fly look like if it were on fire? Firefly.
What would the moon look like if it were made of honey? Honeymoon.
What are you going to make your words out of?
Look up images to put together and create a final image of your compound word.
Be sure to make your interpretation look like it could be real.
STEPS:
1. Make a list of word in your sketchbook
2. For each word, break it down into symbols/images that could help to make the compound word
3. Open PhotoShop
4. Pull in images that will make up your word
5. Blend them together in a way that looks realistic
6. Put the image up on a new page called "Compound Words" on your website
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for all the words, until finished
