Wellness Center-Student Counseling and Health Services

At Husson University's Wellness Center we provide individual, group, and couples counseling to all Husson students. We provide health services including acute and walk-in care needs, lab diagnostic testing, educational outreach, and health coaching.  We also offer a many over the counter items such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, cough drops, allergy relief and much more.  All services are free and confidential with the exception of lab diagnostic testing which may incur a small fee.  

Wellness Center Mission

Husson Wellness Center is dedicated to providing confidential support to all students in their pursuit of success. The staff  are committed to supporting students as they use their strengths and resources to develop the skills essential for improved mood, personal growth, relationships and academic success.

Sometimes we experience difficult moments. We may not be able to quite figure out how to proceed.  We may think that there is no good solution, or we may feel 'stuck.' Here at the Wellness Center, staff provide an objective, supportive service in which students can better understand the sources of their problems and identify ways to solve them.

Husson Wellness Center understands the value of community and works with organizations, clubs, teams, faculty and residential groups to improve communication among members and to help groups work as a team in order to achieve optimum outcomes.  In addition, services can assist in the development of programs, presentations and workshops on a number of topics including: performance improvement, stress management, healthy lifestyles, relationships and conflict resolution, alcohol and substance abuse, diversity, sexuality and orientations/identification, violence, suicide and mood disorders. 

Spring 2024 Hours of Operation

The Wellness Center is open and available to answer questions, for appointments both counseling and health related, and to drop off immunization forms Monday-Friday from 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m (closed daily 12:00PM-1:00PM).  We are offering both health and counseling appointments during these hours with extended hours until 6:00p.m. on Wednesdays for health appointments.  After hours available for counseling by appointment only.  Contact 207-941-7625 or email studenthealth@husson.edu.  

Counseling services has drop-in hours available Monday through Friday at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.  These appointments are on a first come, first serve basis and can be offered via Telehealth (please call to obtain a zoom link).  If for some reason you are not able to be seen during that time, you can schedule an appointment for the next available time.   We ask that you arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to these drop-in hours unless you feel you are in crisis.  Please contact 207-941-7625 for more information.
