Abbie Cronkite, MSN, FNP - She/Her/Hers
Hours Available: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm
Abbie is a Maine native who earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in 2001. She started her nursing career in Labor & Delivery and then followed her heart and took the plunge into graduate school. She earned a master's degree and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2008, which allowed her to provide care to her own patients! She has a passion for teaching to, learning from, and caring for teens and young adults. In her free time, Abbie enjoys jogging, yoga, and reading, but most of all adventures and shenanigans with her husband and son.
Nichole Proulx, LMFT -Lead Counselor - She/Her/Hers
Hours Available: Monday - Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm
Nichole graduated from the University of Maine with her master's degree in Human Development in 2004. She worked as a mental health counselor and clinical supervisor/director in non-profit mental health agencies prior to joining the Husson team in 2017. She has experience working with family systems, teens, child welfare, substance abuse, individuals, and couples. Nichole strongly believes in self-care and when she is not working, she spends time traveling and experiencing new places and cultures. She loves a good road trip in her Volkswagen Bus, spending time with her dogs, and relaxing by the water anywhere.
Cindy Small, LCSW - Counselor - She/Her/Hers
Hours Available: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:00am - 4:00pm
Cindy graduated from the University of Maryland earning her MSW. Throughout her career, she has worked in multiple mental health settings (university, community, and office-based). Her clinical focus has been working with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation, and/or major life transitions. She has extensive experience providing client-centered, mindfulness-based, and solution-focused therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outside with her dog, traveling, and engaging in self-care activities.
Kyla Brown - Adminstrative Specialist - She/Her/Hers
Hours Available: Monday-Wednesday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Kyla is a Maine native who worked in the medical and dental field for over 20 years before coming to Husson in the fall of 2025. Kyla values providing a welcoming space for all students. Her goals are to coordinate easy-to-access and high quality care that allows students to feel safe and comfortable at Husson. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, going to the beach and spending quality time with family and friends, especially her daughter.
