LGBTQ

College is a place to be who you are.  As a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Questioning student, you will experience all the same excitement, stresses, and transitions as other students with, many times, an added layer of stress.  Making a new start anywhere can be difficult and for LGBTQ students it can be increased because you may not be sure how much support, open mindedness and acceptance will be awaiting you.  This can cause many students to feel more isolated, anxious and disconnected.  If you are experiencing any of these feelings, do not hesitate to come in and talk to someone.  At the counseling center you will find counselors who are simply here to support and listen.  We can guide you to other community supports at the University as well as in the community and will support you the best we can to manage the transitions of college life.
